Message: Indira School and College of Nursing was established in the year 2006 with B.Sc (Nursing) 4 years and DGNM 3 ½ years and now 3 years course. In the year 2010, M.Sc (Nursing) with 25 seats in all five specialties was established. The college and School has gradually stretched its wings and on the path of glorious nursing practices. Our Alumni are there across the globe and also in various states of the country. The strong philosophy of the organization with a highly undeterred management and knowledgeable faculty has helped us to attain 100% result and campus placements. The students have excelled in all domains of learning. The institution believes in a holistic development of the learners. The ultimate outcome of a knowledgeable expert, kinesthetically sound, compassionate care giver, innovative researcher and able administrator. I believe that all these domains have been well utilized by my faculty members and students and we are proud that we are churning out compassionate and highly credible moves year after year. We stand as an inspiration and empower young nurses to serve the nation and the world. .


Academic Profile: Born on 16 May 1965. She obtained the Bachelors of Science in Nursing from College of Nursing, Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore in 1985, Diploma in Yoga Therapy & Instructor’s Course from Indian Institute of Yoga in 2003 and Master of Nursing in Community Health Nursing at Omayal Achi College of Nursing affiliated with the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University in 2001 and Ph.D in Faculty of Nursing from Sri Ramachandra University in 2008. She started her career as Lecturer and rose to the position of Principal. With a Total of 32 years experience including various nursing areas such as Nursing Service, Nursing Education and Nursing Research. Currently she is a fully fledged administrator. Earlier an active Public Health Nurse worked in various rural/urban areas at Vellore and as School Health Nurse in United Arab Emirates. She strives hard to be an expert academician, able administrator and critical researcher. She has a quest for knowledge to make her known as seasoned professional which allows to always look for vibrancy in all facets of professional nursing practice.
