1.What is the Basis for admissions?
Admissions for 1st year BE/Btech are based on marks scored in HSC (Academic/Vocational) as per norms indicated below category wise.

3. How can I come to know about admissions?
Commencement of admissions are advertised in newspaper,Magazines,Hoardings, handbills and other advertisement media.
Students desirous of pursuing any course offered by IIET can approach the courteous and proactive admission team either at the Registered office at 19, Govindan Street, Ayyavoo colony, Aminjikarai, Chennai. Or at the College campus and discuss the eligibility norms as detailed above, the admission procedures availability of seats, registration, last date for submission of application and any other information required.
The students have the option to block a seat for future admission due to lapsed seats from Govt Quota or any other reasons in can seats are not readily available. A deposit as determined by the admission team would be required in such cases. However the management does not guarantee admission and in case it is unable provide a seat the deposit amount would be refunded.
Validity
Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination of a University/Board other than approved by Anna University and have been selected, will be admitted to the college provisionally, subject to their candidates concerned should therefore write to the Registrar of the Anna University/Directorate of Technical Education(DOTE). The candidates concerned should therefore write to the Registrar of the Anna University/DOTE in advance to obtain and produce in original, the documentary evidence of acceptance by the University/DOTE, of their qualification before being admitted to the college, The admission to the college will be made on the basis of the declaration by the candidate, If the qualification, for any reason, is not recognized by the Univeristy/DOTE, the candidate will have to discontinue the course.
Only those candidates selected under the merit and NRI quota will be intimated at the first instance. Those who applied against possible lapsed seat (if any) will have to wait till the Government of Tamilnadu closes the admissions, to find out the vacancies (if any). The selection of candidates will be provisional, subject to their being found eligible on the verification of their original certificates at the time of admission. The Principal reserves the right of refusing to admit the candidate, if on verification of the original certificates at the time of admission. Further, it the candidate is found to be ineligible at a later stage of his/her admission, the college has the right to cancel the admission at whatever stage the candidate may be at the time. A joint declaration should be signed at the time of admission by the candidate and his/her parent, in the format of which a specimen copy is given in the Annexure 1. Candidates should ensure that correct information regarding marks, age and community is furnished by him/her.
If it is not correct, then
- He/she forfeit the admission, no matter at what stage of the course he/she will be in that time.
- He/she is liable to be debarred from pursuing any course of study for a period of 3 years.
- Legal action will be initiated against him/her for furnishing false information.
